Mystery Babylon

Why is Babylon symbolically described as a prostutute?
Perhaps it is becasuse, like a prostute her ability to seductively lure people away from God by offering false-and instant-fulfillment.

  1. Mystery Babylon, I believe, represents all who have whored away from God spiritually by seeking to please God with their own works of righteousness in the flesh. Many have been made drunk with the "wine of the wrath" of her fornication. In the bible there are two wines, the old and the new. The old wine represents the law, which the bible teaches us the law works wrath. Therefore the old wine could quite possibly, I and believe it does for many reasons, represent the works of the law. Also, many are deceived by her sorceries. In the book of acts, the bible tells us Simon the sorcerer "bewitched" the people with sorceries. Also, the Galatians were "bewitched", but how. They were bewitched into believing they must keep the works of the law in the flesh in order to be saved. As they were bewitched, which sorcerers as Simon bewitches people, Mystery Babylon bewitches people into following the old wine, the law that works wrath for salvation. This is a deep study, The bible bible is a spiritual book with hidden, spiritual wisdom contained therein. I don't have time to write all I want, so here are some links that provide more in depth study (spiritual study) of Mystery Babylon, Sorcerers, Wine, and many more spiritual bible study articles I think you will like. The entire word of God is spiritual with hidden, spiritual wisdom to be opened up including the law. This website link has studies proving that faith alone in Jesus is sufficient for salvation, not works of the flesh, not the doctrine of Mystery Babylon which is the "whore" church, whereas the true church is a chaste virgin according to scripture. Also, the true church is a city set on a hill, Mt. Zion, New Jerusalem, whereas Mystery Babylon is a city as the fake church, the whore. May God bless all who share his word in spirit and in truth.
